Panel data from Chinese inter-provincial border cities tracks the relationship between digital-economy development and air quality from 2014 to 2023. Author Huifu Li published the dataset on figshare under a CC-BY-4.0 license. Empirical results from the study indicate the digital economy significantly improves air quality, with stronger effects in non-contiguous, poverty-stricken areas.
