Description
601 Czech university students (368 women, mean age 23.46) were surveyed on impostor phenomenon and self-compassion. The dataset includes results from correlation analysis, regression, and structural equation modelling, showing moderate associations between competence doubt and isolation/overidentification. Authored by Kristýna Krejčová and last updated in May 2026, this 5.5 KB Excel file is available under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Use Cases
Analyze the relationship between impostor phenomenon and self-compassion based on survey scores.
Investigate gender differences in psychological constructs among university students.
Validate structural equation models linking specific subscales like competence doubt and isolation.
Examine the predictive power of negative self-compassion dimensions on impostor feelings.
Strengths
Dataset includes survey results from 601 participants, providing a substantive sample size.
Specific statistical results are reported, including correlation coefficients (r = .409, .427) and regression model fit (R² = .26).
Clear demographic details are provided: 368 women, mean age 23.46 (SD = 3.05).
