Description
Saudi Arabian adults (n=379) participated in a nationwide cross-sectional online survey measuring adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and five dimensions of impulsivity. The dataset, created by Saleh A. Alghamdi and last updated in May 2026, contains results with false discovery rate corrections and bootstrap confidence intervals. It includes demographic information and scores for Negative Urgency, Positive Urgency, Sensation Seeking, Lack of Premeditation, and Lack of Perseverance.
Use Cases
Analyzing gender differences in ACE exposure based on reported emotional neglect and household mental illness rates
Investigating correlations between ACEs and specific impulsivity dimensions like Negative Urgency
Testing differential exposure versus differential vulnerability hypotheses using statistical interaction models
Benchmarking impulsivity scores in a Saudi adult population for cross-cultural comparisons
Strengths
Includes 379 participant records with gender breakdown (222 female, 157 male)
