27 genetically confirmed Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) patients (53 eyes) from a Japanese tertiary eye hospital were followed for at least 10 years. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) data in logMAR was collected from onset to 120 months and modeled across Acute, Chronic, and Late Chronic phases. The dataset, created by Yasuyuki Takai and shared under CC-BY-4.0, provides descriptive benchmarks for long-term visual outcomes in this mitochondrial disorder.
Dataset is very small (5.5 KB), indicating limited scope; primary data is likely summary statistics or model parameters rather than raw patient records.
