Description
987 serum samples collected from community participants in Ghana between August 2023 and February 2024, with a longitudinal follow-up of 212 participants one year later. The dataset, created by George Agyei, includes socio-demographic data, clinical symptoms, vaccination status, and results from anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELISA and surrogate virus neutralization assays. It was last updated in May 2026.
Use Cases
Compare urban versus rural seroprevalence based on geographic location data mentioned in the description
Analyze longitudinal changes in antibody levels based on paired baseline and follow-up samples
Assess the persistence of neutralizing antibodies based on results from the surrogate virus neutralization assay
Investigate correlations between immune response and factors like age, sex, or vaccination status based on collected socio-demographic and clinical data
Strengths
Includes 987 baseline samples and a longitudinal subset of 212 participants followed for one year
Contains results from specific immunoassays targeting SARS-CoV-2 spike and nucleocapsid proteins
Provides a direct comparison of seroprevalence between urban (47.4%) and rural (47.7%) areas
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Data may reflect geographic bias inherent to the selected Ghanaian communities
