Description
Fei Shang's dataset contains statistical analysis results from a study of diabetic retinopathy using the Ins2Akita mouse model. The data includes vessel density, branching, length, tortuosity, pericyte density, and plexus connectivity metrics from 14 hyperglycemic and 13 euglycemic mice aged 7–61 weeks. The dataset was last updated on 2026-05-28.
Use Cases
Conduct statistical comparisons of retinal vessel metrics between hyperglycemic and control mice.
Analyze the relationship between blood glucose levels and microvascular patterning over time.
Validate in vivo ophthalmoscopy findings using ex vivo confocal microscopy data.
Investigate pericyte density and vascular plexus connectivity as potential biomarkers.
Strengths
Includes data from 27 mice (14 hyperglycemic, 13 control), providing a comparative basis.
