Description
833 Chinese workers completed the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ), a multidimensional instrument assessing task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behavior. Author Guihong Tang published the validation study data on figshare in May 2026. The dataset includes psychometric validation results, including confirmatory factor analysis and measurement invariance tests across genders.
Use Cases
Validate the three-factor structure of the IWPQ based on the confirmatory factor analysis results described.
Assess measurement invariance across gender subgroups based on the multigroup confirmatory factor analysis mentioned.
Examine the criterion-related validity between work performance and accomplishment using the reported structural equation modeling results.
Replicate the psychometric validation (reliability, convergent validity) in a Chinese organizational context as described.
Strengths
Dataset is based on a sample of 833 Chinese workers, providing a substantial base for analysis.
Psychometric properties are reported as robust, with factor loadings surpassing 0.70 and high reliability (CR > 0.70).
Measurement invariance across genders was validated, suggesting the tripartite structure is stable for both male and female cohorts.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for specific modeling tasks.
The dataset is very small at 5.5 KB, indicating limited scope and likely containing only summary statistics or a subset of the raw survey data.
