Description
A 216.4 KB minimal dataset includes geometric and mass properties for sedan, SUV, and truck vehicle types. Mahdi Moharami created this collection of model input parameters, which also defines road geometry, lateral slope, and friction coefficients. The data was used to generate all tables and figures for a related manuscript.
Use Cases
Simulating vehicle rollover risk based on geometric and mass properties for different vehicle types
Modeling braking distance or traction based on friction coefficients for dry, rainy, and snowy road conditions
Analyzing the impact of road geometry and lateral slope definitions on vehicle stability
Validating vehicle dynamics simulation software using the provided input parameters and output values
Strengths
Includes friction coefficients for three distinct weather conditions: dry, rainy, and snowy
Covers three common vehicle types: sedan, SUV, and truck
The complete dataset and model parameters are contained in a single 216.4 KB file
Data is licensed under CC-BY-4.0, permitting broad reuse with attribution
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
The dataset is small (216.4 KB), indicating a limited scope or sample size
