NOAA's Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center collected geospatial, temperature, and depth data from towed-diver surveys of coral reef ecosystems across the U.S. Pacific Islands from 2000 to 2017. The dataset includes over 17 years of continuous monitoring across the Hawaiian and Mariana Archipelagos, American Samoa, and the Pacific Remote Island Areas. Data was gathered by towing SCUBA divers behind a boat, with instrumentation recording location, temperature, and depth every 5 seconds.
Data is provided as shapefiles for geospatial components (points, segments, tracks). The conflicting 'last updated' dates between platforms should be verified with the data provider.
