706 wells across the Great Artesian Basin were examined, with palynology data compiled for 407 wells having Jurassic-Cretaceous succession. The study by MGPalaeo and Geoscience Australia reviewed existing data and sampled 20 new wells to fill knowledge gaps, creating a standardized chronostratigraphic framework. This work supports regional correlation across the Surat, Eromanga, and Carpentaria basins.
