Two research cruises aboard the RV Nathaniel B. Palmer collected water samples in the Ross Sea, Antarctica, during December 2004 to January 2005 and October to November 2005. The dataset contains concentration and biological turnover rate measurements for sulfur compounds, specifically dimethylsulfide (DMS) and dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP). Samples were gathered from both the ship's underway system and CTD casts with Niskin bottle sampling at depths up to 737 meters.
