Pingo ruins are geologically valuable landforms created by natural processes during the last Weichselian ice age. The dataset, provided by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, is included in the Provincial Environmental Vision 2016-2020 and aims to protect these features from threats like new construction and deep ploughing. It covers the Gorecht district in the province of Groningen.
