Potential Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems (GDEs) are identified across the North Central Catchment Management Authority area in Victoria. The mapping was developed by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action using satellite remote sensing, geological, and groundwater monitoring data in a GIS overlay model from circa 1995 to 2005. It indicates locations of potential terrestrial GDEs, including wetland areas, but does not quantify the degree of dependence.
Data formats include multiple GIS file types (SHP, GDB, etc.); appropriate GIS software is required for use.
