A preconcentration procedure for copper determination in water samples using coprecipitation with silver chromate and flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The method was optimized using a Doehlert matrix, achieving a quantification limit of 0.76 µg L-1, precision below 2.7% RSD, and a preconcentration factor of 28. The procedure was developed by Ívero Pita de Sá and validated against ICP-MS.
