A 2008 study compared 14 spatial interpolation methods for seabed mud content across the Australian Exclusive Economic Zone. This follow-up research from the Australian Ocean Data Network evaluates 18 methods, including machine learning combinations with ordinary kriging and inverse distance squared, across three specific regions. The study identifies methods that reduce prediction error by up to 19%.
Data is presented as a research publication in PDF/HTML format, not as a directly machine-readable dataset of mud content values.
