A retrospective longitudinal study by Héla Baccouche of Hôpital La Rabta evaluated the impact of inherited thrombophilia on treatment decisions and recurrence risk in venous thromboembolism (VTE). The study includes 190 patients with confirmed VTE referred for thrombophilia screening between January 2011 and December 2016. Results indicate inherited thrombophilia was confirmed in 27.5% of patients and was not associated with a higher risk of VTE recurrence after treatment withdrawal.
