GA302 Survey: Marine Seismic and Gravity Data from Capel and Faust Basins

Data from 50 sonobuoys were recorded during the 2006/07 GA302 seismic survey for Geoscience Australia's New Oil initiative. The dataset includes interpreted P-wave velocity estimates for sedimentary layers, gravity and magnetic anomaly data, and high-quality seismic reflection records. Preliminary analysis identified four distinct seismic reflection patterns and velocity layers ranging from 1.9 to 5.3 km/s, with sediment thickness estimated to reach 5 km in some areas.
