Data from 50 sonobuoys recorded 800 km east of Australia in 2006, during the GA302 survey for Geoscience Australia's Big New Oil programme. The data were interpreted and forward modelled to estimate P-wave velocities in the upper sedimentary section and constrain sediment thickness. Gravity and magnetic anomaly data were also recorded, providing additional constraints for velocity models.
