Preliminary Results from Marine Seismic Survey GA302 over Capel and Faust Basins

A 2006 survey recorded data from 50 sonobuoys over the Capel and Faust Basins, 800 km east of Australia. Geoscience Australia interpreted these data via ray-tracing to estimate P-wave velocities in upper sedimentary layers and constrain sediment thickness.
