Description
NOAA_NCEI Accession 9700018 contains chlorophyll a, conductivity, salinity, oxygen, and fluorescence data collected from the R/V ENDEAVOR. Dr. David Mountain of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution submitted the data, gathered via CTD casts in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean. The data collection period spans from January 11, 1995, to June 18, 1995.
Use Cases
Modeling phytoplankton biomass distribution based on chlorophyll a and fluorescence measurements.
Analyzing water column structure and mixing based on conductivity and salinity profiles.
Studying dissolved oxygen levels to assess ocean health and biogeochemical processes.
Investigating seasonal changes in oceanographic conditions during the 1995 sampling period.
Strengths
Data collection spans a defined 5-month period from January to June 1995.
Includes multiple key oceanographic variables: chlorophyll a, conductivity, salinity, oxygen, and fluorescence.
Data originates from a recognized research institution, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Limitations
