The Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN) Depression survey is a component of a large-scale, interdisciplinary longitudinal study. It collected information from over 6,000 primary caregivers about depressive symptoms experienced in the past year, using an instrument adapted from the Composite International Diagnostic Interview. The data was collected between 1997 and 2000 under the direction of Felton J. Earls of Harvard University.
