The Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN) Dysthymia survey collected data on depressive symptoms from primary caregivers of over 6,000 children and adolescents. This wave of the longitudinal study was conducted between 1997 and 2000, using an instrument adapted from the Composite International Diagnostic Interview. The data was collected by researchers including Felton J. Earls of Harvard University.
