Records document prolonged unplanned closures of public K-12 schools and districts across the United States from August 2011 to June 2019. The dataset includes closure events lasting five or more school days, excluding scheduled breaks. It is provided by data.cdc.gov and was last updated in April 2022.
Closure is defined as lasting 5 or more school days, excluding scheduled days off. Multiple file formats (CSV, JSON, XML, RDF) are available.
