Microcystin Detection Data from Cheshire Lakes Using Paper Analytical Devices

Weekly water samples from Rostherne Mere and Tatton Park Lake, Cheshire were collected between 20 July 2022 and 12 October 2022. The dataset contains information on microcystin toxin detection using a paper analytical device with a protein phosphatase inhibition assay, including analysis for microcystin-producing genes and released microcystin. Preliminary user evaluation of the devices and a mobile photo application is also provided.
