Description
2005 data collected by the NSF-supported R/V Laurence M. Gould icebreaker during its LMG0508 research leg. The dataset consists of underway measurements supporting global change studies in biological, chemical, physical, and oceanographic disciplines. The voyage operated from Punta Arenas, Chile, and returned to the same port.
Use Cases
Analyzing temporal changes in oceanographic conditions based on continuous underway measurements.
Studying biogeochemical cycles in Antarctic waters based on chemical discipline data.
Investigating physical oceanography and water mass properties based on physical measurements.
Correlating biological observations with environmental parameters based on biological discipline data.
Strengths
Data originates from a dedicated NSF-supported research icebreaker, indicating institutional support.
