Description
R/V Laurence M. Gould leg LMG9802 collected underway data during a research cruise starting and ending in Punta Arenas, Chile. The NSF-supported icebreaker conducts global change studies in biological, chemical, physical, and oceanographic disciplines. The dataset was last updated on March 21, 1998.
Use Cases
Analyze oceanographic conditions along the cruise track based on the description of underway data.
Study biological and chemical changes in Antarctic waters based on the described research disciplines.
Model physical oceanographic processes in the Southern Ocean based on the vessel's operational focus.
Correlate underway measurements with other Antarctic datasets based on the described global change studies.
Strengths
Data originates from a dedicated NSF-supported Antarctic research icebreaker.
Covers multiple scientific disciplines: biological, chemical, physical, and oceanographic.
