250,000 Wildlife Key Areas (WKAs) are GIS polygons identifying locations used by wildlife for critical seasonal functions. The Government of Yukon created this inventory by interpreting wildlife observations and interviews with locals, with updates occurring periodically.
For the most current information, users must consult the Regional Biologist for their area of interest; the dataset is updated periodically. Data is distributed under the yk-oglyk license via GeoYukon in ESRI REST and HTML formats.
