A five-day voyage from New Zealand to Tasmania in June 2009 collected biological and acoustic data from the Tasman Sea. The charter involved eight three-hour deep-water deployments using a multiple opening closing net system (MIDOC), a 38 kHz echosounder, and an Acoustic-Optical System (AOS). Data was collected by CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research from a 65-meter factory freezer vessel, the FV Rehua.
