Description
Sharing research-generated model inputs, processed life-cycle inventory data, and environmental and social impact assessment results for heavy-duty truck battery pack production in China and the United States. The dataset was created by Shao, Qifan using BatPac 6.0, the 2025 GREET model, the Social Hotspots Database, and OpenLCA. It was last updated on July 21, 2026.
Use Cases
Conducting a comparative environmental life cycle assessment based on the processed life-cycle inventory data.
Performing a social impact assessment for battery production based on the Social Hotspots Database inputs.
Modeling greenhouse gas emissions from battery manufacturing based on parameters from the GREET model.
Replicating or validating the results of the associated research report on onshoring truck engine technologies.
Strengths
Dataset is explicitly designed to support replication of a specific research study.
Integrates data from multiple established models and databases, including BatPac 6.0 and the 2025 GREET model.
Covers both environmental and social impact dimensions for a comparative analysis between China and the United States.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Proprietary or licensed database contents are not redistributed, limiting full reproducibility.
