Description
Yukon magnetic geophysical data from assessment reports submitted before March 2015 were reviewed and standardized. Aurora Geosciences Ltd processed the data, integrating individual reports with 1:250,000 scale compilations. The output includes four gridded PDF products: residual total magnetic field, reduced to pole, vertical derivative, and tilt derivative.
Use Cases
Analyze magnetic anomalies for mineral exploration based on the processed residual total magnetic field data.
Interpret subsurface geological structures based on the vertical derivative and tilt derivative grids.
Create regional geological maps by integrating the standardized magnetic compilations with other geospatial data.
Strengths
Data is integrated with standardized 1:250,000 scale compilations.
Includes four distinct processed magnetic field products (residual, reduced to pole, vertical derivative, tilt derivative).
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Data freshness should be verified; the underlying assessment reports were submitted prior to March 2015.
