Description
Reprocessed aeromagnetic data for Yukon, Canada, compiled between November 2016 and March 2017. The Government of Yukon produced four derivative magnetic field maps for each 1:250,000-scale map sheet. Maps are provided as PDFs, GeoTIFFs, and Geosoft grid files.
Use Cases
Geological interpretation based on the Residual Total Magnetic Field maps.
Mineral exploration targeting based on the Reduced-to-Pole Magnetic Field (RTP) maps.
Structural analysis based on the First Vertical Derivative of the RTP maps.
Edge detection of magnetic sources based on the Tilt Derivative of the RTP maps.
Strengths
Data was reprocessed and levelled for consistency across map sheets.
Four distinct magnetic derivative maps are provided for each 1:250,000-scale area.
Data is available in three standard geospatial formats: PDF, GeoTIFF, and Geosoft grid.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
