Description
A 1,279-document bibliometric dataset covering research on extrafloral nectaries from 1894 to 2026, compiled by Akash Basnet for a study under review. The dataset was created by merging and deduplicating 2,991 records from Web of Science and Scopus, followed by manual screening. It includes raw exports, a reproducibility script, and logs to support replication of the bibliometric analysis.
Use Cases
Replicating bibliometric analyses like annual production and Bradford's Law based on the final cleaned dataset.
Studying keyword co-occurrence and thematic mapping based on the bibliographic records.
Analyzing country and institutional collaboration networks based on the author and affiliation data.
Auditing the PRISMA-based screening and deduplication process using the provided logs and scripts.
Strengths
Includes a complete reproducibility package with raw data, scripts, and logs for 2,991 initial records.
Provides a final cleaned analytical dataset of 1,279 documents with a documented PRISMA flow.
Specifies software requirements and package versions for replication.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count for the raw files is provided, but the specific columns and data structure are unknown.
Data may reflect source bias inherent to the Web of Science and Scopus databases used.
Provenance
Source
Web of Science and Scopus bibliographic databases.
Collection Method
Records retrieved using a defined search string, followed by cross-database deduplication and manual screening.
