United States public health surveillance data contains weekly summaries of total RSV tests and RSV detections reported by approximately 600 participating laboratories. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) aggregates this data through its National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System (NREVSS). Data is submitted and updated weekly, with results potentially revised up to two years after initial reporting.
Data is reported voluntarily; testing practices and the number of participating labs can change annually. Results can be changed up to two years after the initial reporting week.
