Coastal salt-affected Fluvo-aquic soil in China was studied under a paddy rice-winter wheat rotation. The dataset, from a field experiment by Rongjiang Yao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, characterizes soil properties and bacterial communities under four nitrogen fertilization rates (0, 150, 300, and 450 kg N hm-2 y-1).
