Romania: Subnational Dekadal Rainfall Indicators and Anomalies

WFP provides dekadal rainfall indicators for Romania aggregated by subnational administrative units using CHIRPS v2 satellite imagery and CHIRPS-GEFS forecasts. The data tracks 10-day, 1-month, and 3-month rainfall totals alongside long-term averages and percentage anomalies. Records are updated six times per month to transition from forecasts to final observations.

• Assessing drought severity by monitoring the 'rfq' (rainfall anomaly) column across different administrative units
• Short-term agricultural planning using 'rfh' forecasts to anticipate water availability for the upcoming dekad
• Long-term climate trend analysis by comparing 'r3h' (3-month rolling) values against 'r3h_avg' historical baselines
