Description
OSIRIS Narrow Angle Camera image data from the Rosetta spacecraft's EXTENSION 2 mission phase, covering the period from 2016-05-03 to 2016-05-31. The data is solar stray light corrected, radiometrically calibrated, and geometrically distortion corrected, presented in reflectance units. This V1.0 dataset was produced by NASA following an external peer review in October 2018.
Use Cases
Analyzing comet surface features and albedo based on calibrated reflectance data.
Studying temporal changes on comet 67P's nucleus during the specified mission phase.
Training computer vision models for automated feature detection on planetary bodies.
Strengths
Data is processed to CODMAC level 4, indicating solar stray light correction, radiometric calibration, and geometric correction.
Covers a specific, defined observation period from 2016-05-03T23:25:00.000 to 2016-05-31T23:24:59.000.
Dataset version V1.0 was corrected following an external peer review in October 2018.
