Description
Solar stray-light corrected, radiometric calibrated, and geometric distortion corrected image data acquired by the OSIRIS Narrow Angle Camera on the Rosetta spacecraft. The dataset covers the period from 2016-09-02 to 2016-09-26, targeting comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. This version V1.0 is the first version of this dataset, corrected after an external peer review in September 2019.
Use Cases
Analyze comet surface morphology based on calibrated, high-resolution imagery
Study temporal changes in comet activity during the specified mission phase
Validate image processing algorithms for stray-light and geometric correction
Strengths
Images are corrected for solar stray-light, in-field stray-light, radiometric calibration, and geometric distortion
Data covers a specific 24-day mission phase in September 2016
Dataset is peer-reviewed and represents the first corrected version
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
