Description
Version 2.0 data from the RPCICA instrument on the Rosetta mission's extension 1 phase. It contains raw, uncalibrated measurements of solar wind interaction with the atmosphere of comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. The dataset was updated by NASA to include uniform resolution, a mode variable, new quality flags, and relocated metadata in the label.
Use Cases
Modeling solar wind interaction with a comet's atmosphere based on plasma measurements.
Analyzing plasma dynamics and composition changes based on the instrument's mode variable.
Assessing data quality for scientific studies using the included quality flags.
Strengths
Dataset is version 2.0, indicating updates and corrections from a prior release.
Data has been expanded to a uniform resolution, likely improving consistency for analysis.
Includes new quality flags and a mode variable to aid data interpretation.
Limitations
Data is described as uncalibrated, requiring further processing for quantitative scientific use.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count and file size are unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
