Description
ROSETTA-ORBITER 67P RPCLAP 3PRL CALIBRATED V1.0 contains calibrated data from the Rosetta spacecraft's RPC-LAP instrument. The data, provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, was acquired during the pre-landing mission phase targeting comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. This version reorganizes the data into fewer files with longer time series, sorted by measurement type.
Use Cases
Calibrating instrument models based on voltage and current outputs.
Analyzing time-series trends in comet proximity data.
Validating spacecraft instrument performance during the pre-landing mission phase.
Studying the plasma environment around comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
Strengths
Data is calibrated and corrected for instrument offsets.
Data is reorganized into fewer files with longer time series for easier analysis.
Dataset is sourced from the authoritative NASA Rosetta mission.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count and file size are unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Description metadata is limited; actual data quality requires manual inspection after download.
