Description
From 2010-05-17 to 2010-09-03, the Rosetta spacecraft's OSIRIS Narrow Angle Camera captured images of asteroid 21 Lutetia. This dataset contains processed, calibrated, and corrected image data in reflectance units, representing the first version (V1.0) of this collection. The data was produced by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Use Cases
Analyze asteroid surface reflectance properties based on the calibrated reflectance units mentioned in the description
Study the geometric features of asteroid 21 Lutetia based on the corrected and resampled image data
Validate or compare remote sensing models for asteroids using the solar stray light corrected data
Strengths
Data is processed to CODMAC level 4, indicating radiometric calibration and geometric correction
Covers a specific mission phase (LUTETIA FLY-BY) with a defined time range from 2010-05-17 to 2010-09-03
First version (V1.0) of a dataset from a major space agency (NASA)
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
