Description
March 06 to March 14, 2026, the RV Investigator voyage IN2026_T01 collected oceanographic and atmospheric data during a transit from Hobart to Fremantle. The archive includes measurements from instruments such as ADCPs, CTDs, echosounders, greenhouse gas analyzers, and wildlife observations. The data is curated by CSIRO's National Collections and Marine Infrastructure Information and Data Centre and archived at the CSIRO Data Access Portal.
Use Cases
Modeling ocean currents and water column structure based on ADCP and CTD data.
Analyzing atmospheric composition and aerosol properties based on greenhouse gas, CCN, and particle counter measurements.
Mapping seafloor topography based on multibeam echosounder and sub-bottom profiler data.
Studying marine mammal and seabird distributions based on wildlife observation logs.
Investigating air-sea interaction processes based on thermosalinograph, pCO2, and meteorological sensor data.
Strengths
Data collected during a defined voyage from March 06 to March 14, 2026.
Archive includes data from over 30 distinct instrument types, suggesting broad observational coverage.
Curated and permanently archived by CSIRO's National Collections and Marine Infrastructure Information and Data Centre.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count, file size, and specific data formats beyond PNG and HTML are unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
