Description
Over 40 distinct oceanographic and atmospheric instruments collected data during the RV Investigator voyage IN2026_T02 from April 23 to May 05, 2026. The archive includes measurements from Fremantle to Hobart, such as water column profiles, greenhouse gas concentrations, particle counts, seafloor mapping, and wildlife observations. CSIRO's National Collections and Marine Infrastructure Information and Data Centre curates this raw data archive, with processed data available via the MNF Data Trawler.
Use Cases
Modeling ocean currents and water column structure based on ADCP and CTD data.
Analyzing marine ecosystem health and biodiversity using eDNA samples and wildlife observations.
Studying air-sea interactions and atmospheric composition based on greenhouse gas, aerosol, and radon sensor data.
Mapping seafloor bathymetry and sub-bottom geology using multibeam echosounder and sub-bottom profiler data.
Tracking deep ocean conditions and deploying autonomous monitoring platforms using Argo float deployment data.
Strengths
Data collection spans a defined 13-day voyage from April 23 to May 05, 2026.
Instrument list includes over 40 specific sensors and samplers for multidisciplinary observation.
Archive is curated by CSIRO's National Collections and Marine Infrastructure Information and Data Centre, a recognized authority.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for large-scale ML tasks.
Description metadata is limited; actual data quality and completeness require manual inspection after download.
