APHA data lists and counts Salmonella serovar isolations from testing ingredients and products under the Animal By-Products Regulations from 2012 to 2014. An isolation is defined as the first report of a cultured Salmonella instance from a known group on a single occasion. The laboratory work was conducted by the UKAS-accredited APHA Weybridge facility, which holds multiple quality certifications including BS EN ISO 17025:2000 and Good Laboratory Practice.
