A theoretical scaling model for the atmospheric circulation of Earth-like exoplanets, derived by Thaddeus D. Komacek of the University of Chicago. The work presents scaling relations for equator-to-pole temperature contrast and bulk lapse rate based on baroclinic criticality. These theoretical predictions are compared to General Circulation Model simulations and are intended for testing with future space telescope observations.
