Description
Indonesia's semi-intensive shrimp farming sector is represented by parameters for estimating the Animal Health Loss Envelope. The dataset, compiled from literature and government reports, provides values for Current, Ideal, and Zero Mortality model scenarios. It was created by Anne Meyer and published in 2025.
Use Cases
Estimating economic losses from shrimp disease based on provided mortality and production parameters.
Comparing potential production outcomes under different health scenarios (Current, Ideal, Zero Mortality).
Informing aquaculture policy and biosecurity investments based on modeled health loss envelopes.
Strengths
Data is explicitly linked to a peer-reviewed 2025 article in the journal Aquaculture.
Includes a separate data dictionary for parameter definitions (DOI: 10.6084/m9.figshare.29436386).
Released under a permissive CC-BY-4.0 license for reuse.
Limitations
The dataset is very small (20.7 KB), indicating a limited set of parameters rather than raw observational data.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data collection concluded before 2024; freshness for current applications should be verified.
Provenance
Source
Compiled from published literature and Indonesian government reports.
Collection Method
Publicly available data were cleaned, compiled, and aggregated for model parameters.
