Description
SDG Indicator 11.7.1: Urban Public Space, Availability and Access, 2023 Release measures the average share of a city's built-up area that is open space for public use. The dataset provides estimates for 8,873 urban centers across 180 countries, produced by ESDIS and released on NASA Earthdata. It was computed using OpenStreetMap public space data, WorldPop population grids, and urban center delineations from the JRC GHS-UCDB.
