1150 baited remote underwater video sequences were used to quantify fish biodiversity on the continental shelf of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. The study, conducted by the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) as part of the MTSRF 1.1.5 project, aimed to assess seabed biodiversity and its environmental correlates. Fish observations were interpolated over the whole GBR using Generalized Additive Models, producing a gridded dataset available as KML.
