Geoscience Australia acquired 653 km² of multibeam and backscatter data in 2012 to assess CO2 storage potential. The survey collected seabed samples from 43 stations and 6.65 km² of side-scan sonar imagery to investigate links between deep geology and the seabed. Data focuses on two areas above the South Perth Shale seal and Gage Sandstone reservoir, revealing fault-like structures and rhodolith beds.
