Geoscience Australia's 2012 survey collected 653 km² of multibeam data and 89 seabed samples to assess CO2 storage potential. The data reveals coralline algal beds and fault-like structures in two areas of the Rottnest Shelf. Precise links between seabed geomorphology and deep geological features for seal integrity require further investigation.
