Seabed Geological and Biological Survey of Eastern Joseph Bonaparte Gulf

Geoscience Australia conducted a seabed mapping survey of the Van Diemen Rise in the eastern Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. The survey collected multibeam sonar data covering 1,154 square kilometers, supplemented by geological and biological samples from 63 stations. It provides detailed data on sedimentology, geochemistry, macro-benthic diversity, and oceanography to study late-Quaternary evolution and biodiversity relationships.
